Electric aircraft, drone making facility launched in ME, Africa

UAE-based Monarch Aircraft Manufacturing and China’s Aihang Holding have partnered to establish the first electric aircraft and drone factory in the Middle East and Africa. The partnership is in line with the initiatives of Abu Dhabi’s industrial strategy, including the innovative technologies of the fourth industrial revolution, the legislative framework for the circular economy, and green economy policies and incentives in the light of the transition to a smart, circular, and sustainable economy. The collaboration aims to produce electrically powered aircraft and drones for transporting passengers and cargo in the emirate of Abu Dhabi.
