Over 700 international top experts, practitioners and operators in the freight logistics industry are believed to have attended this 2-day conference hosted by UAE National Association of Freight and Logistics (NAFL) in partnership with the Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA) – headquartered in Geneva under the theme “Connectivity, Resilience and Sustainability in Global Supply Chains.”
By virtue of the UAE strategic location, the UAE is a well-connected country positioned as both a distribution and logistics hub for neighboring countries like Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain. The conference offers a platform for the international community to appreciate the logistics-related investment opportunities within the UAE, the GCC and the neighboring regions.
The top digital freight platforms, value added services and service providers will all be there to showcase their latest services for this sector. Speaking at the event, Turgut Erkeskin, President FIATA said, “Globalisation hasn’t ended, in fact it has shifted its focus from China to the Middle East. Let us look at ways we can overcome the challenges that logistics face in the current scenario.” It is anticipated that the Red Sea crisis will be discussed at the event.
