The Pakistan Business Council Qatar (PBCQ) has launched a 60-day plan to increase Qatar-Pakistan trade, focusing on expanding business links, bringing more Pakistani SMEs and large companies into its network and creating new trade opportunities. The plan will also support Pakistani businesses seeking to use Qatar as a base to reach wider GCC and African markets.

PBCQ will establish links with Qatar Chamber, Qatar Investment Authority, Qatar Free Zones Authority, Qatar Financial Centre and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. These links are expected to help Pakistani businesses access market information, regulations, incentives and potential partners, making cross-border trade easier.

Mohammed Israr Malazai, President, PBCQ said: “Our three-point agenda is an operational roadmap to convert diplomatic goodwill into measurable commercial outcomes. We are moving from dialogue to delivery.”

The council will expand its membership to include more Pakistani SMEs and large business groups, creating a wider platform for companies to identify buyers, suppliers and investment partners in Qatar.

It will also set up a dedicated system to share tenders, trade opportunities, joint-venture prospects and policy updates with businesses in both countries. The first business briefing, planned for late September, will focus on food security and logistics, sectors where Qatar has invited greater Pakistani participation. PBCQ is targeting at least two MoUs with Qatari institutions in the next quarter and three joint ventures or investment deals by Q1 2027.
