The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT), in partnership with the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Royal Oman Police, announced that Oman’s road transport sector is fully ready to facilitate the movement of goods from Omani ports to GCC countries and support smooth transit shipments across the region.
Faster customs clearance through the Bayan system, better coordination between ports, logistics operators, and customs, and upgrades to roads and digital platforms will help reduce delays and make transportation of goods more reliable.
These steps aim to improve supply chain efficiency, cut transit times, and make shipments more predictable for traders and transport companies. By simplifying processes and connecting different parts of the transport chain, Oman is ensuring smoother flows of goods across the Gulf.
H E Qais Mohammed Al Yousef, Chairman of OPAZ, added that these measures will strengthen Oman’s role as a key transit hub, help businesses move goods faster, and support trade links across the GCC, making transport safer and more efficient.
