The General Administration of Abu Dhabi Customs has reported a 10.08 per cent rise in digital customs transactions from January to August 2025. Pro-active transactions accounted for 28.93 per cent of all customs activities, while customs declarations rose by 18 per cent. Notably, pre-arrival clearance made up 82 per cent of total clearance procedures at customs ports, streamlining trade, and logistics operations. New digital services, including goods clearance, declaration modifications, and enhanced payment options, have led to a 19.72 per cent increase in transactions through integrated express shipping systems. The growth reflects the department’s commitment to enhancing efficiency, supporting economic resilience, and aligning with Abu Dhabi’s vision for a knowledge-based future economy, said His Excellency Rashed Lahej Al Mansoori, Director-General, Abu Dhabi Customs.
