Logistics and supply chain companies are increasingly using artificial intelligence to improve operations and manage uncertainty, according to the 2026 Agility Emerging Markets Index. A survey of 503 industry professionals found that 98 percent of companies are already using AI in some part of their logistics or supply chain activities.

AI is helping companies plan better, reduce delays, and improve visibility across supply chains. From demand forecasting to route planning and inventory management, digital tools are supporting faster and more efficient logistics operations.

While global trade continues to change, companies are responding by strengthening supply chains rather than slowing down. The survey showed that 86 percent of respondents expect ongoing volatility, but many see this as an opportunity to build more resilient and flexible logistics networks.

The report highlighted strong progress in the Gulf region, where logistics firms are investing in digital systems and modern infrastructure. These efforts are helping the region strengthen its role as a global logistics and transit hub.

Industry leaders say AI has become a key driver of improvement in supply chain performance, allowing logistics companies to adapt, grow, and stay competitive in an evolving global trade environment.
