Ambitious Air Mobility Group and LODD Autonomous have signed an agreement to collaborate on the development and potential acquisition of up to 50 Hili hybrid VTOL cargo aircraft. The plan is for 25 aircraft to operate in Europe and 25 in the UAE and Middle East, with experimental trials scheduled between Q4 2026 and Q4 2027. The aircraft is designed to carry payloads of up to 250 kg over distances of 700 km, targeting middle-mile and hub-to-hub cargo operations.
Rashid Mattar Almanai, CEO of LODD, said that the partnership links development milestones with real-world deployment pathways. The agreement covers joint fleet planning, logistics deployment, experimental operations, and market development across Europe and the Middle East. Both companies will also explore advanced materials, production efficiencies, and integration of LODD’s autonomous software across selected aircraft.
Hili’s VTOL capability allows flexible cargo transport between vertiports and hub locations, offering faster, scalable, and more efficient logistics solutions compared with traditional road or air freight. The aircraft aligns with AAMG’s vertiport network and sustainability-focused infrastructure vision.
Robert Kamp, CEO of AAMG, added that the deal “aligns aircraft capability with infrastructure readiness,” noting that Hili provides a strong hybrid cargo solution. The collaboration establishes a structured, non-exclusive framework for commercial operations, marking a step toward transforming regional air cargo logistics.
