Absa Group begins Dubai operations to strengthen Middle East–Africa trade corridor

Absa Group has started operations in Dubai for trade connectivity between the Middle East and African markets for cross-border expansion. This will enable regional corporates and businesses to engage in trade between the GCC and Africa. The UAE–Africa corridor presents opportunities across logistics, infrastructure, energy, agriculture and fast-moving consumer goods.
“International trade plays a critical role in driving investment, business expansion and economic growth. CIB’s role is to connect clients to the capital, market expertise and cross-border capabilities they need to pursue opportunities across the Middle East–Africa corridor,” commented Zaid Moola, Chief Executive of Corporate and Investment Banking.
With the trade volumes and commercial links between the two regions continuing to develop, Absa aims to support businesses seeking to expand their operations across African markets through its regional network.
