Abu Dhabi Airports is enhancing the logistics backbone of the Al Ain region, creating faster, more efficient routes for farm produce to reach global markets. The initiative brings together Abu Dhabi Investment Office, Abu Dhabi Customs, Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA), Silal, Pure Harvest Smart Farms, ESG AGRO, and Elite Agro Holding to streamline the movement of perishables.  Elena Sorlini, MD and CEO, Abu Dhabi Airports, said: “By upgrading cargo infra, we are enabling quicker, more reliable transport of high-quality produce to key global destinations.” The initiative focuses on optimising cold chain ops, cargo handling, and end-to-end logistics processes, leveraging Al Ain’s growing transportation ecosystem. It supports the AgriFood Growth and Water Abundance Cluster, reinforcing Abu Dhabi’s role as a hub for innovative and sustainable agri-trade logistics. Industry observers highlight that this collaboration will improve supply chain efficiency, reduce transit times, and increase export volumes. By connecting local farms with global markets through advanced logistics solutions, Abu Dhabi Airports is positioning the emirate as a critical gateway for international agri-trade.
