AD Ports Group has signed a 50-year land lease pact with Emirates Food Industries (EFI) to develop an integrated industrial complex at Khalifa Port’s South Quay, said Saif Al Mazrouei, CEO of the Ports Cluster, AD Ports Group. The project is valued at AED 2 billion (US$ 544 million), and it will initially involve the construction of grain silos to enhance the port’s storage capacity and reinforce its position as a key logistics and trade hub in the region. Future phases will include the development of an advanced grain processing facility. Spanning 100,000 sqm, the site will offer a storage capacity of 150,000 MT and direct access to deep-water berths capable of accommodating full-load Panamax vessels, enabling streamlined maritime logistics operations. This project represents a transformative step in significantly enhancing and advancing our industrial and operational capabilities in the food sector, Joseph Abdo, Group CEO, EFI Group.
