French air cargo restraint solution provider AeroNet has completed 30 years in the air transport industry, with its operations and branches now expanding across regions including the Middle East, Europe, Asia and North America. The company, which began as a specialist producer of air cargo pallets, has grown into a supplier of certified restraint solutions for commercial aviation and defence operations. As part of its operations in the Middle East, AeroNet operates from Jebel Ali in the UAE and extends its services across the region.
Recognising its commitment to safety and efficiency, AeroNet was also awarded the Fastest Growing Air Cargo Products Manufacturer at the third edition of the Arabian Cargo Awards 2025.
Founded in 1996 by Dominique Coatmellec, the family-owned company entered the air cargo market with the production of its first 20 ft air cargo pallets. Two years later, it expanded into air cargo net manufacturing, building its focus around cargo safety and secure transportation.
Over the years, AeroNet has developed a range of restraint products, including certified pallets, restraint straps, stopper devices and customised solutions designed for civil aviation and military transport requirements. The company currently operates production facilities and branches across Europe, the Middle East, Asia and North America. It manages its engineering, manufacturing and certification activities internally to support customers across different markets.
As air cargo operations become more complex, secure and compliant cargo handling solutions remain important for airlines, freight operators and defence organisations. Certified restraint systems help reduce cargo movement risks during transportation while supporting safety standards across the supply chain.
“From our first pallet in 1996 to supporting commercial airlines and defence forces today, our focus has always been clear: safety, efficiency and trusted long-term partnerships,” said Ludovic COATMELLEC, CEO of AeroNet.
As it enters its fourth decade, the company aims to develop certified solutions that support the growing needs of the global air cargo and defence sector, while building on the past three decades of its journey in the cargo sector.
