AUH and JD.com launch JV to build logistics hub

Abu Dhabi Airports (AUH) has entered a JV with JD.com’s infrastructure arm, JINGDONG Property (JDP), to develop 70,000 square metres of bonded and non-bonded warehousing space at the ADAFZ Logistics Park, informed Elena Sorlini, MD and CEO, AUH. Marking JDP’s first UAE project, the new facility aims to strengthen e-commerce logistics and specialised cargo handling across the GCC and MENA region. The project will support multimodal logistics operations, leveraging proximity to airport infrastructure, and aligns with Abu Dhabi’s goal of becoming a global trade and supply chain hub, Solini said.  “By combining JDP’s expertise in cutting-edge logistics infrastructure with AUH’s strategic location and capabilities, we are creating a dynamic ecosystem that will attract investment, create growth opportunities, and reinforce Abu Dhabi’s role in global supply chains,” she added.
