Bahrain is stepping up its cargo and logistics operations in 2026, aiming to strengthen its position as a regional trade hub, Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa said. Key projects are now fully operational or entering advanced stages, improving the movement of goods and supply chain efficiency.
The Minister said, “Our investments in logistics and cargo infrastructure are helping Bahrain become a central hub for trade in the region, supporting businesses and boosting the economy.” Officials say this focus on logistics is part of Bahrain’s 2026 economic strategy to diversify beyond oil and support business growth. Investments in cargo handling and supply chain infrastructure are expected to improve efficiency, reduce delays, and make Bahrain a go-to hub for regional and international shipping.
