Bahrain, UK sign US$2.7 billion deal to fortify mutual trade ties

The Kingdom of Bahrain has signed a US$2.7 billion investment agreement with the UK in a move to strengthen manufacturing, clean energy, advanced technology and financial services ties. The agreement, announced during Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa’s visit to London, marks a strategic step forward in expanding Bahrain-K economic cooperation. The deal aligns with ongoing trade talks between the UK and the GCC, of which the Kingdom is a part of, aimed at securing a comprehensive trade agreement.
