CEVA grows MENA supply chain network with Fattal

CEVA Logistics has completed its acquisition of Lebanon-based Fattal Group, strengthening its logistics and distribution network across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). The deal, cleared by regulators, expands CEVA's capabilities beyond freight and contract logistics by adding Fattal's regional distribution business across consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, beauty and fashion.

The acquisition supports the CMA CGM Group's strategy of building an integrated supply chain network by combining ocean, air and land transport with warehousing and last-mile distribution. By bringing Fattal's distribution infrastructure into its network, CEVA aims to provide customers with end-to-end logistics services while improving supply chain efficiency across regional markets.

For the logistics sector, the deal creates a wider distribution platform in MENA, allowing CEVA to connect freight transportation with local delivery and retail distribution. The combined operations are also expected to generate operational efficiencies through shared logistics facilities, distribution networks and customer portfolios.

The acquisition further strengthens CEVA's presence in Lebanon, where the CMA CGM Group has operated since 1978. Following the transaction, the Group will employ nearly 4,000 people in the country while expanding its regional logistics operations.
