DHL fosters female leadership within the logistics industry through a series of targeted training and development programmes, said Mary Oxley, VP, Middle East and Africa, DHL Global Forwarding. “To address the gender gap in leadership, DHL has introduced several programmes, including ‘Women at DGFF’ (DHL Global Forwarding, Freight), sponsored by Amadou Diallo, CEO, DHL Global Forwarding, MEA, which aims to identify and develop female talent across the company. Other initiatives include ‘Shift Upper Gear’, a framework designed to move women from administrative roles into middle and senior management positions, and ‘Circles’, a peer-mentoring platform to encourage learning and leadership among women.”
