Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) and DHL are strengthening export support for local manufacturers, with preferential shipping rates and supply chain solutions aimed at reducing trade costs and improving access to international markets.

Under their strategic partnership, eligible members of DET’s Export Assistance Programme (EAP) can access tailored logistics services and end-to-end supply chain support. The initiative aims to make cross-border trade simpler for manufacturers seeking to expand beyond the UAE.

The partnership comes as Dubai works to grow manufacturing output and strengthen its links with global markets. Reliable shipping networks and efficient supply chains are important for businesses managing export costs, delivery times and international customer demand.

Mohamed Al Marzooqi, Acting Associate Vice President, Manufacturing & Exports Development at the Dubai Economic Development Corporation, said: “By bringing DHL’s expertise directly to Export Assistance Programme members, this workshop enables businesses to make more informed logistics decisions and approach international expansion with increased confidence.”

The initiative supports the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which aims to more than double manufacturing value-added output by 2033. The EAP also connects exporters with services such as export finance and credit protection, helping businesses manage trade risks and explore new markets.
