DHL, IAG Cargo ink deal on SAF for cutting emissions

DHL Express and DHL Global Forwarding have signed a contract with IAG Cargo to use an additional 60 million liters of SAF in 2024 and 2025. The agreement, the largest SAF agreement between an airline and a customer, will reduce GHG by around 165,000 tonnes to achieve around 80 per cent lower lifecycle emissions.  “By utilising 60 million litres of SAF, we are not only reducing our carbon footprint by an estimated 165,000 tonnes of CO2e but are also demonstrating the power of collaboration in driving meaningful change. This reinforces IAG Cargo’s commitment to sustainable air freight solutions and brings us closer to achieving our group goal of

net zero emissions by 2050.”
