Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ) recorded AED246 billion in trade during the first half of 2026, up 17% year on year, with re-exports increasing 22% to AED108.8 billion. The results highlight the role of Dubai’s economic zones and logistics infrastructure in moving goods across international markets and supporting regional and global supply chains.

The authority’s three economic zones combine business facilities, infrastructure and logistics capabilities to help companies manage the movement of goods and connect with international markets. This integration also supports trade continuity as shipping routes and supply chains change. DIEZ’s share of Dubai’s non-oil trade reached around 16%, compared with 15.4% in the first half of 2025.

Imports rose 14% to AED134.8 billion, while direct exports reached AED2.4 billion. Machinery, equipment and electrical equipment accounted for 66% of DIEZ’s total trade, followed by precious stones, metals and jewellery at 30%.

China was the authority’s largest trading partner, with trade worth AED69.8 billion, followed by Saudi Arabia at AED26.5 billion and India at AED17.6 billion. These trade links reflect Dubai’s role as a gateway for goods moving between Asian and Gulf markets and the wider world.
