As aircraft gear up to take to the skies for the Dubai Airshow 2025, the ground beneath will be taken care of by dnata, which has deployed 111 motorised vehicles to keep operations running smoothly at Dubai World Central (DWC). The lineup includes aircraft pushback tractors, ground power units, passenger steps, and air conditioning units, crucial to ensure seamless movement for static and flying displays.
Managing the logistics of such a large-scale event while maintaining regular operations at both Dubai International Airport (DXB) and DWC is a challenge dnata’s teams have fine-tuned over years of experience. “There’s an entire choreography behind every aircraft movement at the Dubai Airshow,” said Jaffar Dawood, Divisional Senior Vice President – UAE Airport Operations. “It’s about precise co-ordination between our ground handling, logistics, and technical teams to ensure every flight continues on schedule.”
dnata’s contribution this year also underscores its push toward sustainability. Fourteen of the deployed vehicles are fully electric, including towbarless tractors, loaders, and passenger steps featured in the event’s Sustainability Showcase. The company says these innovations are already in active use across its Dubai operations, helping to cut fuel use and emissions, thus helping in efficiency on the ground and cleaner skies.
