Raj Jit Singh Wallia, Board Member, DP World Trade Finance said, “DP World Trade Finance has joined hands with JP Morgan to ease working capital constraints in emerging markets. The collaboration aims to address US$2.5 trillion global trade finance gap by combining DP World’s logistics capabilities with JP Morgan’s financial expertise through innovative risk-sharing mechanisms.” The deal enabled a major food company to procure cocoa from Ivory Coast, unlocking US$70 million in annual trade potential boosting global supply chains and local economies. The move signals DP World’s evolution into a trade finance enabler, positioning the Middle East as a powerful connector in global commerce. “This is a step in our mission to bridge global trade finance gap and help businesses tap into new sources of funding,” commented Wallia.
