DP World has launched Kerala’s inaugural Free Trade Warehousing Zone (FTWZ) at the International Container Transshipment Terminal (ICTT) in Kochi. This 75,000 sq. ft., facility offers state-of-the-art integration with DP World’s multimodal logistics network, enhancing connections across India and global markets. Located within the Cochin Port premises at Vallarpadam terminal, the Cochin Economic Zone aims to solidify Cochin Port’s status as the prime gateway to southern India. “The DP World Cochin Economic Zone is an innovative model within port premises, setting a new benchmark among economic zones in India,” Ranjit Ray, Senior Vice President, Economic Zones, Middle East, North Africa, and Subcontinent, remarked. “The integrated solution in Cochin links ports to the wider supply chain through multi-modal connectivity, providing value-added services,” he highlighted. The facility is designed to support EXIM-oriented businesses and attract global companies to the Indian market. Operating under the SEZ Act, the facility will not only support export-import businesses but also open doors for global companies to enter the Indian market.
