Dubai CommerCity expands e-commerce tech access

Dubai CommerCity has partnered with Tencent Cloud to help e-commerce businesses improve operations, manage growing order volumes and access cloud-based solutions. The agreement will make Tencent Cloud’s products and services available to companies registered in the free zone, supporting their efforts to scale their businesses and serve customers across markets.
The partnership will explore ways to connect businesses with cloud computing and other technology solutions. Joint initiatives, including workshops, exhibitions and hackathons, will also support knowledge sharing and encourage companies to adopt tools that meet their operational needs.
For e-commerce businesses, technology plays an important role in managing orders, inventory, customer information and the flow of goods. Better systems can help companies coordinate activities across sales channels and improve the efficiency of their fulfilment and distribution operations as demand grows.
Amna Lootah, Director General of Dubai CommerCity, said: “Partnering with global technology companies is key to strengthening Dubai’s digital commerce ecosystem and providing businesses with access to advanced technologies.”
The partnership brings together Dubai CommerCity, a free zone dedicated to e-commerce, and Tencent Cloud, which provides cloud computing, data, networking and security services. The collaboration aims to support companies as they develop their e-commerce operations and expand into new markets.
