Dubai Customs completed 23 million customs transactions in the first half of 2026, with digital channels accounting for 99.6% of service use. Cashless payments made up 99.3% of payment transactions, as Dubai continues to digitise procedures linked to international trade and cargo movement.

The high use of digital services streamlines customs procedures and payments for importers, exporters and freight operators. By reducing administrative steps and connecting processes, digital services support cargo clearance and the movement of goods across borders, helping businesses manage shipments more efficiently.

Dubai Customs’ Mirsal 2 system connects customs operations, electronic payments and risk management. This integrated approach simplifies transaction handling while maintaining customs controls and compliance checks.

Dr Abdulla Busenad, Director General of Dubai Customs, said: “The economic value of digital transformation lies in the time we save for the customer, the procedures we shorten, and the reliability we add to the movement of trade.”

The results support the Dubai Customs Strategy 2026–2030, which aims to enable trusted trade and improve business efficiency. Streamlined customs processes are central to supporting logistics operators and businesses moving cargo through Dubai to regional and international markets.
