Denis Ilin, CEO, e-Smart Logistics, said, "Dubai-based e-Smart Group has signed a pact with US-based BETA Technologies to buy up to 20 all-electric ALIA CTOL cargo aircraft". The deal includes five firm orders and 15 options, with first deliveries likely in 2027. The aircraft will be operated by e-Smart Avia, the Group’s air cargo division, serving time-sensitive markets such as express, e-commerce, medical logistics, life sciences, and aircraft-on-ground operations. The aircraft were chosen for their advanced technology, environmental benefits, and performance. He added that introducing electric aircraft aligns with the firm’s goal to provide efficient, reliable, and sustainable logistics solutions.
