Emirates SkyCargo has connected its systems with Pelicargo through an API, allowing freight forwarders to make instant bookings. It is the first airline from the Middle East to do this on the platform. The move comes as more customers, especially in the United States, shift from manual bookings to digital channels.

Badr Abbas, Divisional Senior Vice President, Emirates SkyCargo, said: “The digital solutions that we have deployed globally have made a huge impact on the way we operate – from faster exchanges of critical information to more streamlined bookings. Onboarding to Pelicargo’s intuitive platform is the next step in our strategy, enabling us to better connect with both new and existing customers in the United States. As we enter our next phase of growth, digitalisation will continue to underpin our operations with the goal to provide flexible, efficient solutions to our global customers.”

The integration means forwarders can check schedules, see available space, and book shipments at any time without waiting for manual confirmation. This reduces delays and improves planning, particularly for time-sensitive cargo such as medicines and fresh goods. It also gives the airline wider access to US-based customers who prefer online marketplaces.

Over the past year, Emirates SkyCargo has seen a steady rise in digital bookings through its own system and partner platforms. Adding Pelicargo expands its reach and strengthens its presence in the US market, where demand for faster and more transparent booking tools is growing. The airline’s main cargo products, including services for pharmaceuticals, perishables and urgent shipments, are now available on Pelicargo. This is its fourth such platform partnership.

Jon Acquaviva, Co-Founder & President, Pelicargo, said: “For us, it’s a natural fit — Emirates SkyCargo has built a reputation for excellence and forward-thinking innovation that aligns perfectly with our mission. We share a common vision: putting customers at the center and delivering locally relevant, digitally connected solutions that make air cargo faster and more accessible. We’re proud to partner with such an iconic and innovative carrier to help customers across the U.S. and beyond connect instantly with Emirates SkyCargo’s world-class network.”
