Emirates SkyCargo has launched a weekly freighter service to Toronto Pearson Airport, expanding air cargo capacity between Dubai and Canada. The flight connects Dubai World Central to Toronto via Amsterdam and operates once a week.

Badr Abbas, Emirates SkyCargo’s Divisional Senior Vice President, said: “Our freighter service to Toronto is an important milestone for Emirates SkyCargo as we continue to strategically expand our freighter fleet and network in line with evolving trade corridors.”

The new route operates via Amsterdam and adds around 100 tonnes of export capacity each week from Canada. It supports shipments like pharmaceuticals, fresh produce, electronics, and industrial components, while also improving cargo movement between Europe and Canada on the same service.

Exports from Canada to the UAE increased 24% between 2023 and 2024, showing rising demand for faster and more reliable air freight options. The new freighter service is expected to support this growth by giving exporters additional dedicated capacity beyond passenger aircraft belly space.

For the logistics industry, the route strengthens supply chain efficiency for time-sensitive and temperature-controlled goods and improves access to Emirates’ global network from Canada.
