Emirates SkyCargo is heading into the new year with plans centred on logistics growth, including the delivery of up to 10 Boeing 777Fs, expansion of its global cargo network, increased capacity across key trade lanes, and continued investment in digital and ground operations, said Badr Abbas, Divisional SVP, Emirates SkyCargo. By the end of 2026, the airline aims to operate at least 21 freighters, giving it flexibility to add destinations, boost frequencies, and handle rising demand for air cargo. On the ground, the airline will continue upgrading its logistics operations. This includes the planned introduction of hydrogen-powered trucks and trials of new delivery solutions, such as autonomous and vertical take-off aircraft for first- and last-mile movement. Digital tools will also see further development in 2026, with more features aimed at simplifying bookings, payments, and shipment tracking, as Emirates SkyCargo focuses on faster, more efficient end-to-end logistics.
