Emirates SkyCargo and WFS signed a three-year contract aimed at providing cargo handling, ramp and mail services at Miami International Airport, said José Canales, Senior VP, Commercial & Business Development, Americas at SATS-owned WFS. The deal supports the Dubai-based carrier’s freighter ops using Boeing 777 and 747 aircraft from its MIA facility. The move reinforces the UAE’s role in global logistics by fortifying the air cargo link between the Middle East, North America and Latin America. Emirates SkyCargo’s growing presence in the Americas underlines Dubai’s position as a key re-export hub, while WFS’s expanded role signals confidence in cross-regional growth.
