Ethiopian Cargo taps CargoAi for digital booking

Expanding its digital roadmap for smoother operations, Ethiopian Cargo and Logistics Services has partnered with CargoAi. The collaboration will enable the airline to offer real-time rate visibility and eBooking capabilities to freight forwarders around the world through the CargoAi platform.
The integration is expected to give more than 30,000 freight forwarders access to Ethiopian Cargo’s global cargo capacity and pricing through CargoAi’s marketplace and connections to leading Transport Management Systems (TMS). This will enhance visibility and automation, while helping users access multiple booking environments across Ethiopian Cargo’s network.
Commenting on the tie-up, Dereje Derero, Managing Director of Ethiopian Cargo & Logistics Services, said, “Partnering with CargoAi allows us to bring our services closer to freight forwarders worldwide by offering a modern and seamless booking experience. This step reinforces our commitment to innovation and to delivering agile, data-driven solutions that meet the evolving needs of the global air cargo industry.”
On the other hand, the initiative also enables the airline to use CargoAi’s interline features, which facilitate efficient and transparent collaboration with airline partners through digital interline bookings and shared capacity management.
CargoAi is also building on its data connections with airlines, freight forwarders, ground handling agents (GHAs) and airports, using AI workers and agents designed to automate and optimise air cargo workflows across its ecosystem.
