Ethiopian Cargo & Logistics Services will join the WebCargo by Freightos platform by the end of March, allowing freight forwarders to search, quote, and book cargo capacity in real time across its global network. The integration will provide digital rates, instant quoting, e-booking, and online payments through WebCargo Pay.

The move will help forwarders secure space in seconds instead of relying on emails and manual processes. It is expected to speed up cargo bookings and improve access to African air cargo capacity for global logistics companies.

Ethiopian Cargo operates Africa’s largest air cargo network, connecting more than 145 destinations worldwide through dedicated freighter aircraft and passenger belly capacity.

For the logistics sector, joining WebCargo simplifies how freight forwarders find and book air cargo space. Forwarders will be able to instantly compare routes, check available capacity, and confirm shipments, helping them respond faster to shifting routes, costs, and demand in global trade.

The move also strengthens digital connectivity between Africa and key markets including the Middle East, Europe, the United States, China, and India, while supporting Ethiopian’s wider digital transformation strategy for cargo operations.
