Etihad Cargo strengthens Abu Dhabi-Paris cargo link

Etihad Cargo has introduced a second weekly freighter service between Abu Dhabi and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG), increasing cargo capacity on the route. The additional frequency will support the movement of specialised shipments, including pharmaceuticals, perishables, and high-value cargo, while improving connections between France and markets across Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.

The expansion comes as demand for cargo capacity from France continues to grow. Paris remains a key point in Etihad Cargo’s network, with the carrier supporting shipments through its specialised solutions, including PharmaLife for pharmaceuticals, FreshForward for perishables, SkyStables for equine transport, and FlyCulture for cultural logistics.

Stanislas Brun, Chief Cargo Officer at Etihad Airways, speaking about the new services said, “France has long been an important market for Etihad Cargo. The introduction of a second weekly freighter service to Paris shows both the strength of customer demand and our long-term goals for the region. As trade flows continue to evolve, our customers need greater flexibility, additional capacity, and reliable access to global markets. By increasing our services to Paris, we are enhancing connectivity between Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, while further strengthening Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading global logistics and multimodal cargo hub.”

In 2025, Etihad Cargo transported more than 26,000 tonnes of cargo to and from Paris. With the new addition, the airline now operates two weekly freighter services to Charles de Gaulle, alongside three daily passenger flights to Paris and a seasonal service to Nice.

The increased frequency will provide businesses with more flexible options to move goods between Europe and global markets through Abu Dhabi. It also strengthens Abu Dhabi’s role as a connecting point for international cargo flows, supporting trade links between France and key regions.
