FedEx has launched its first nonstop express flight and announced plans for a regional hub at King Salman International Airport, said Richard Smith, COO, International, and CEO, Airline, FedEx. The company has also introduced FedEx Logistics forwarding services, reinforcing KSA’s role as a global trade hub. The milestone was marked in Diriyah with senior Saudi officials, including His Excellency Eng. Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, Minister of Transport and Logistics Services. The new operations allow FedEx to directly manage pickup, delivery and customs clearance, supported by four gateways and stations and offering faster links from the US and Europe. “Our recent investments underscore the Kingdom’s vital role in our global network, linking economies across Asia, Europe, and the Americas,” Smith added.
