FedEx expands logistics network in Kuwait

FedEx has opened a new retail facility in Kuwait’s Shuwaikh Free Trade Zone, expanding access to its shipping services from the country’s key trade and logistics hubs. The location provides businesses and individuals with services for preparing, dropping off, collecting and tracking shipments.

The facility is close to Shuwaikh Port, one of Kuwait’s main trade gateways, giving customers easier access to international and regional transport services. Businesses can use FedEx air, freight and Middle East road services through the new location.

Taarek Hinedi, Vice President of Operations and Planning & Engineering, FedEx Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and Africa said, “By expanding our presence in one of the country’s key commercial gateways, we are making it easier for customers to access our integrated transportation network and digitally enabled shipping solutions. The move could support faster movement of goods for companies operating in and around the free trade zone. Its location near the port also provides a link between port activity and wider air and road networks, supporting multimodal cargo movement.

The facility will handle both inbound and outbound shipments, helping businesses connect with suppliers and customers in regional and international markets. This is particularly relevant for companies using Kuwait as a trading and distribution point. The expansion adds to FedEx’s Middle East network and supports Kuwait’s efforts to increase trade, investment and economic diversification under New Kuwait Vision 2035.
