FIATA has partnered with Otonomi to roll out instant, digital cargo and delay insurance solutions for freight forwarders worldwide.

Announced at the 2026 FIATA HQ Meeting in Geneva, the collaboration enables members to mitigate business interruption risks caused by shipment delays across air, ocean and e-commerce supply chains. Through a dedicated platform, users can obtain quotes within seconds by entering shipment data such as Air Waybill or Bill of Lading details.

Otonomi’s algorithms assess delay risks and issue policies digitally without paperwork, allowing users to select delay triggers between three and 24 hours alongside tailored coverage limits.

FIATA Director General Stéphane Graber said the initiative strengthens operational resilience, while Otonomi CEO Yann Barbaroux highlighted its role in addressing longstanding insurance gaps. The solution spans sectors including pharmaceuticals, perishables, aerospace and e-commerce.
