‘FIATA training and discussing challenges for advocacy’

“FIATA is doing a lot in terms of advocacy. Apart from discussing challenges that freight forwarders face, FIATA is imparting training to new candidates. This helps freight forwarders in their global endeavours,” Dawit Woubishet, Board Member, International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA) and Director, Woubget Holdings said, while  addressing the recently concluded Active Freight Network’s seventh annual meeting in Dubai.

Just as most of the Middle East, Woubishet explained that the African region is badly affected by the Red Sea crisis. “Ethiopia is exporting textiles around the world. We are now forced to ship by air instead of sea, to avoid delays. In this way customers receive products of their choice but with a little extra margin.” “By sharing knowledge and expertise we can give the best to our customers,” he explained.
