Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) Customs has flagged off its first global Transports Internationaux Routiers (TIR) transit shipment from the Northern Free Zone to Poland, said Dr. Rashid Rashid Al Mehrazi, Director-General, RAK Customs. This marks a milestone in the emirate’s bid to strengthen its role in cross-border logistics. “This achievement reflects our commitment to supporting the vision of His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member, Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, to facilitate global trade and confirms the readiness of the UAE’s logistics infrastructure,” Dr. Mehrazi said. The shipment, which travels through multiple Asian and European countries via a unified road transport system, highlights RAK’s readiness to support fast, and secure trade corridors between the Middle East and Europe.
