Chapman Freeborn has transported 300 tonnes of solar panels from Shanghai Pudong Airport to Istanbul Airport within a week. Using Boeing 777Fs from Qatar Airways and Silk Way West Airlines, Chapman Freeborn transported 447 pallets, totalling 292 tonnes and 685 cubic metres. The operation enabled Turkish importers to secure stock ahead of a new solar panel tax. Detailed planning and precise pallet build-up maximised aircraft capacity, achieving full utilisation on all three flights. Gerhard Coetzee, VP Cargo, IMEA, said the operation highlighted Chapman Freeborn’s ability to execute complex, high-volume cargo deliveries using its extensive global network and decades of air charter expertise.
