Freight Hub sets up Sharjah hub for Africa

Freight Hub is set to operate a new facility in Sharjah as a dedicated charter hub for its African cargo operations, strengthening its scheduled freighter connectivity between the UAE and West Africa.

The new Sharjah facility will support Freight Hub’s charter operations into Africa, with the company planning to operate two scheduled freighters serving Senegal and Guinea. The hub is expected to provide a dedicated base for the carrier’s African segments and support the movement of cargo between the UAE and key West African markets.

The move will give Freight Hub a dedicated operational platform in Sharjah for managing its scheduled freighter services and expanding its presence across the African air cargo market.

“Sharjah gives us a strong operational base for our African segments and allows us to build a dedicated hub around our scheduled freighter operations. With two freighters planned for Senegal and Guinea, we see significant potential to strengthen cargo connectivity between the UAE and West Africa,” said Abid Hamza, Director of Freight Hub.

The company’s focus on Senegal and Guinea reflects growing demand for reliable air cargo connectivity to West Africa, while the dedicated Sharjah hub is expected to support more efficient handling and coordination of its charter and scheduled freighter operations.

The development marks another step in Freight Hub’s plans to expand its Africa-focused cargo network from the UAE.
