Fujairah Terminals adds land for cargo growth

Fujairah Terminals has signed three land lease agreements with Fujairah International Airport, Fujairah Free Zone Authority and Al Dahra Agriculture Trading to expand logistics and industrial operations in Fujairah. The agreements cover a combined area of 130,000 sqm and are aimed at improving cargo handling, storage and supply chain connectivity at the port.


Captain Mohamed Al Yahyaei, CEO of Fujairah Terminals, said, “By expanding partnerships across logistics, infrastructure, and key industries, we are enabling greater connectivity, enhancing supply chain resilience, and supporting the continued growth and diversification of Fujairah’s trade ecosystem.”


The move comes as ports and logistics operators in the UAE continue to invest in integrated infrastructure to support growing regional trade flows and improve supply chain resilience. The leased land will help Fujairah Terminals increase coordination between port, airport and free zone operations, allowing faster cargo movement and better use of nearby infrastructure.


The agreements are also expected to strengthen Fujairah’s role in handling trade linked to the GCC, Indian Subcontinent, Red Sea and East African markets. The industry looking at multi-modal logistics networks that connect ports, industrial zones and warehousing facilities to reduce delays and improve operational flexibility.
