Marc Prasad, Regional Vice President, Global Network Development & Special Projects, ALSI Global LLC, said, “E-commerce is significant in the GCC, but it has not yet fully overtaken traditional freight.” Smaller parcels and online shopping are growing, but larger shipments still rely on traditional methods. “There is still room for them to coexist. Demand fluctuates with seasonal trends, but the situation is somewhat improving. There is more capacity available now, which benefits customers by providing them with more options,” he added.
