Golden Triangle, Elsewedy to develop Safaga logistics hub

Egypt’s Golden Triangle Economic Zone (GTEZ) has signed an MoU with Elsewedy Electric to establish a fully integrated, sustainable logistics and industrial hub in the Safaga Industrial Zone, strategically located near Safaga Port in the Red Sea Governorate. Under the agreement, GTEZ and Elsewedy Electric will form a joint-stock company to oversee the development which will feature advanced logistics infrastructure, supply chain facilities and connectivity designed to increase exports to the Middle East, Africa and Europe. The project will serve a diverse range of industries including mining, manufacturing, chemicals and food production – ensuring efficient cargo handling. The logistics hub will incorporate smart technologies, sustainable practices and multimodal transport integration to strengthen Egypt’s trade competitiveness. Ahmed El Sewedy, CEO and Managing Director of Elsewedy Electric, said, “Our goal is to strengthen Egypt’s supply chains, increase exports, and foster balanced regional development.”
