Hamad airport reports 14% growth in cargo handling for Q3



Hamad International Airport reported a rise in cargo volumes for Q3 of 2024, processing 670,643 tonnes—up 13.5 per cent from the same period last year. A release stated, monthly volumes remained steady with 221,398 tonnes in July, 219,525 in August, and 229,719 in September. This growth highlights Hamad airport’s role as a critical Middle Eastern cargo hub, leveraging its strategic location and advanced logistics. Additionally, the airport handled more than 11 million bags in Q3—8.9 per cent growth year-over-year, showcasing its commitment to enhancing passenger services and maintaining top-tier operational standards in cargo and baggage management.
