Jazeera Airways has established a new supply chain corridor into Kuwait, reinforcing cargo connectivity amid ongoing logistics disruptions. The airline operated its first shipment weighing 4.5 tonnes of fresh fruits and vegetables from Chennai via Qaisumah Airport (AQI), utilising a seamless air-to-land model. At a time when traditional supply routes are under strain, the initiative ensures continued access to essential perishables, supporting food security and national resilience. The operation required precise coordination across stakeholders in Kuwait, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and India, from uplift to final delivery. By leveraging its alternative operating model through Qaisumah — previously used for integrated passenger movement — Jazeera Airways has now extended this capability to cargo. The airline acknowledged the support of government authorities in Kuwait and KSA, underscoring the importance of collaboration in maintaining critical supply chains when it matters most.
