Jordan, Georgia to fortify supply chain links

Jordan and Georgia are working to expand trade cooperation and improve business connectivity between the two markets. The initiative aims to strengthen supply chain links, support smoother movement of goods and create new opportunities for companies involved in regional trade.

Chairman of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JCC) Khalil Haj Tawfiq said Jordan can serve as a regional trade gateway for Georgian companies due to its strategic location and network of free trade agreements.

The two sides are looking to increase bilateral trade, improve information exchange on investment opportunities and encourage stronger private sector cooperation. Areas of potential cooperation include agriculture, services, technology and other trade-related sectors.

Haj Tawfiq also proposed establishing a joint Jordanian-Georgian Business Council to provide a framework for business engagement and support future trade activities.

The Georgian ambassador highlighted the importance of improving connectivity between the two countries, including transport links that can support commercial movement. The initiative comes as Jordan continues efforts to strengthen its role as a regional trade hub and build stronger connections with international markets.
