The Middle East & South Asia (MESA) region recorded growth in air cargo volumes in Q3 of 2025, according to the latest WorldACD Market Data. Chargeable weight from MESA rose by 9 per cent quarter-on-quarter, outperforming many other global regions, even as worldwide air cargo prices fell 3 per cent. Overall, cargo tonnages increased 4 per cent in Q3 compared with 2024, continuing a steady year-on-year growth trend. The Middle East’s growth was particularly notable amid disruptions in Asia-Pacific caused by typhoon Ragasa, which affected cargo flows from Hong Kong, Taiwan, and China. Preliminary figures for September indicate the region maintained consistent performance despite volatility from tariffs and weather-related supply chain challenges.
