Modern Freight Company (MFC) signed a 20-year agreement with X-NOOR, a JV between X-ELIO and DUTCO, to supply renewable energy to its Logistics Park and Logistics Centre in Dubai. This partnership will involve a rooftop solar PV installation, expected to generate 18 GWh of energy over two decades, powering the warehouse with renewable energy and reducing CO2 emissions. X-NOOR, a solar developer operating in Riyadh, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Oman, and Bahrain, aims to harness the region’s solar power to support industrial and commercial decarbonisation. “We look forward to forging new partnerships and contributing to the region’s renewable energy goals,” Jesus Gutierrez, General Manager, X-NOOR, said. MFC, which is positioned near Jebel Ali port berths, excels in warehousing, international freight forwarding, and customs clearance.
“At MFC, we recognise the importance of adopting sustainable and environmentally friendly business practices,” Laurance Langdon, General Manager of MFC, averred.
