All freight imports into the UAE will require mandatory MPCI (Maritime Preload Cargo Information) filings starting April 1. NAFL (National Association of Freight and Logistics) is supporting forwarders to comply with the new rules. “Cargo manifests must be submitted before loading at origin, and UAE companies are fully liable for any mistakes or delays,” said Toby Edwards, Director, Trade Tech.
Trade Tech is a global cargo security platform, is helping UAE companies with cargo security. MPCI is part of the UAE’s effort to strengthen supply chain safety and security. Forwarders now face risks if data from overseas partners is missing, late, or incomplete. Companies need to prepare early and make sure all shipment details are correct before filing.
Trade Tech, helps UAE companies manage these filings. The platform offers full-service filing, self-service, and electronic options, ensures all data is complete, provides full visibility of filings, and helps companies coordinate with origin partners. Edwards, added that NAFL and Trade Tech are running webinars, sharing updates, and offering guidance to help forwarders comply, reduce risks, and avoid disruptions as the deadline approaches.
