Mwani Qatar witnesses 64% surge in volumes in July

Mwani Qatar recorded an increase in cargo ops in July, handling 234,000 tonnes of general and bulk cargo, reflecting a 64 per cent jump from June. Vessel traffic also rose by 16 per cent, with 268 ships docking at Qatari ports. Container throughput reached 116,970 TEUs, while building materials handling more than doubled to 52,677 tonne, marking a 105 per cent increase. Livestock volumes surged by 86 per cent to 28,250 heads, and vehicle and equipment handling grew by 30 per cent, reaching 12,798 units. The latest figures reflect continued momentum in Qatar’s maritime logistics sector, supporting the country’s growing trade and infrastructure activities.
