Nadia Abdul Aziz is the DDP Game Changer
Nadia Abdul Aziz is the President of National Association of Freight and Logistics and was honoured with the DDP Game Changer Award at the recently held Arabian Cargo Awards 2023, the country’s topmost awards which helps create a platform to recognise and honor heroes of logistics and air cargo industry. Chief Shahab Al Jassmi, Senior Vice President Port and Terminals Commercial GCC for DP World UAE presented the award.
Abdul Aziz has served two terms as Vice President – FIATA Global extended Board Chairperson – ICC Customs and Trade Facilitation –UAE chapter and is CEO / Partner- UNASCO Cargo LLC. She is also a Chairperson - WILAT-ME- women in logistics & Transport-M. East , part of (CILT) Board – Customs Consultative Council and is part of the Board – Maritime Council – UAE.
As a stalwart in the logistics industry Abdul Aziz has a BA and Master degree in Business administration (American University in Dubai) and completed CILT logistics courses. A UAE National, with more than 21 years if experience , Nadia is a business, marketing , Supply chain, logistics professional, worked in the aluminium business as business analyst and was involved in metal hedging on the London Metal Exchange at DUBAL – Dubai Aluminium- now known as EMAAL, along with arranging shipping for the various global orders and visiting all their international suppliers and traders , preparing contracts, daily market report for the Board of directors, shareholders and Senior Managers.
She has also worked for DULSCO LLC - one of the oldest and largest companies which was incorporated by her grandfather almost 90 years ago the largest manpower supply companies to the shipping, airlines, ports, trade and logistics industries. Currently is the Chair of the International Chamber of Commerce-Customs and Trade facilitation commission UAE. In addition to this was nominated as an executive board member of ICC UAE. She has served ICC for few years and managed to increase the number of events delivered by the commission with higher number of members and also virtual conferences and webinars. Extensively promotes the ICC UAE chapter along with the benefits it offers to the trading community. Worked closely with business councils and various trade commissions and trade offices.
